Global Unit Pay – payments in more than 50 countries around the world

SWIFT

Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunications (SWIFT) – international interbank system for transferring information and making payments.

This system allows financial institutions around the world to send and receive information about financial transactions in a secure, standardized and reliable manner.

The SWIFT system was created under Belgian law, but since 2011, control over the system has passed to the US Department of State, which monitors all payments.

SWIFT payments are made between 210 countries and over 11 000 banks.

SWIFT transfer

SWIFT transfer is a transfer of funds from the sender to the recipient, which can be carried out either from an open bank account or without it (by depositing cash). After completing the transaction, funds can be credited to a bank account or issued in cash.

Accordingly, the money can be deposited into a bank account or given to the recipient in cash.

SWIFT transfers are made on the basis of an order containing the following information:

  • Beneficiary bank SWIFT code;
  • the name of the receiving bank and the details of its branch, where the money should be received;
  • the name of the final recipient (full name of the person or the name of the organization);
  • final recipient's bank account number (if any).

SEPA

Single Euro Payments Area - SEPА is a single area in which the differences between domestic and international payments in euros are completely eliminated. The first SEPA-related changes took effect on January 28, 2008.

The main goal of the SEPA project is to improve the efficiency of cross-border payments and to unite the national markets of different countries into a single home market.

A single euro payment area allows users to make non-currency transactions in euro to any user located anywhere in the zone using a single bank account and a single set of payment instruments.

Main features of SEPA transfers:

  • making payments in European currency without limiting the amount
  • beneficiary's account number is required in IBAN format.

SEPA payments are made between the 28 EU countries, plus Norway, Iceland, Switzerland and Liechtenstein, which are part of the Schengen area.
